One of the last remaining Konyak head hunters - Nagaland, India
The Konyak tribe near the Burmese border in Nagaland used to practice head hunting up until the 1960s. The honour of a facial tattoo was only bestowed after bringing the chief a severed head of the enemy tribe. This man's headgear is decorated with bearskin and boar tusks.
